So, part of Step 3 requires us to choose our three favourite blogs from our peers and it proved to be a challenge!
It was comforting to read that most others are in a similar position to me, working full-time whilst also trying to study and juggle a multitude of extra-curricular activities, as well as nervous (but excited!) for what our experiences at CQ University will bring. Everyone is in the same boat, having never made a blog before, although it was hard to tell given they were all so well-constructed, visually aesthetic, and personalised. I was unnervingly apprehensive about blogging in the beginning, but now by week 3, I'm coming to realise that, hey, maybe it's not so bad after all.
Enough waffling. In no particular order, my top 3 favourite blogs are...
"My Investment In Me" - Tasmin Henare
Tasmin's blog gives me all the good vibes! From the sunrise/sunset pictures and her laid back introduction, I was invested. I think the name of her blog, "My Investment In Me", is super clever because that is ultimately what we are all doing; investing our time in studying to increase our knowledge, further our careers and learn new skills. For whatever reason it may be, this education is an investment in ourselves and our futures and I think Tasmin has nailed this perfectly in naming her blog! I'm really looking forward to seeing more of the world through Tas's eyes!
"Jelli Accounting" - Joshua Ellis
Simple but effective is exactly how I would describe Jelli's blog. I love everything minimalistic and the way Jelli has presented his blog encompasses this concept entirely. It's easy to read, easy to navigate and ticks all the boxes. I also think it's pretty cool he's looking for a big change from his current career - stepping outside of your comfort zone is huge and totally life-changing, and I can't wait to follow his journey!
And Bailey? I'm a sucker for animals, especially dogs. Show me a dog and you've got me hooked!
"Just Another Number Blog" - Zoe Sawyer
Zoe's blog is one of my favourites because it's so relatable and honest. I love the way she hasn't hesitated to say she's winging this after procrastinating and putting study on the backburner for years (because honestly, I'm doing exactly the same!). Like Tas & Jelli's blogs, Zoe's is also incredibly easy to navigate and read, getting straight to the point and a simple and aesthetic layout. Well done, Zoe!
